The significant increase in the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has elevated it to a prominent position in Computer Science and extended its influence into broader society. Serving as the backbone of everyday technology, the understanding and application of AI play a pivotal role for computer engineers and IT professionals in addressing current real-world challenges. The three-year BSc degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence is designed to offer a solid foundation on computer science and AI, encompassing machine learning and generative AI through a blend of rigorous theoretical concepts and practical experience. This comprehensive programme integrates artificial intelligence with software systems design, software development, information security and data science, equipping students with the necessary skills to emerge as proficient IT professionals capable of addressing real- world challenges.
The programme imparts essential cognitive, mathematical, and algorithmic principles for automatic reasoning and learning processes crucial in developing applications across various AI domains, including machine and deep learning, computer vision, data analysis, robotics, and AI agents. Moreover, it prepares students to understand AI's application opportunities across diverse economic and social sectors, enabling analysis and evaluation of the ethical, legal, and social impact of its implementation.
Upon completing the Bachelor’s degree, students will be able to:
- Describe and define the fundamental principles and theories of computer science, including algorithms, data structures, and computational models.
- Identify programming languages commonly used in the industry, with the ability to design, implement, and debug software solutions for a variety of applications.
- List and describe engineering principles in the development of software systems, including requirements analysis, design, testing, and maintenance.
- Describe architecture of computer systems, including the organization and design of processors, memory systems, and input/output devices.
- Identify the main characteristics of database systems and database implementation and design.
- Define the principles of computer networks, protocols, and security mechanisms.
- Describe artificial intelligence concepts and applications.
- Identify the principles and functions of operating systems, including process management, memory management, and file systems.
- List and sequence the phases of computer science project development and describe the methodology to plan, execute, and deliver computer science projects.

All the modules will be taught online through an interactive Virtual Learning Environment where you can access synchronous and asynchronous lectures and project based and lab activities. Live interactive sessions and webinars will be organised by the professor to deepen relevant topics, present case studies and organise practical activities. The module also includes different discussion forums that allows students to create and process information, practise critical thinking and collaborate and interact simultaneously or asynchronously in the online learning environment.
Customised assistance by faculty and academic advisors will be provided to the students throughout the academic journey to improve academic success and results.

The BSc in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence is addressed to students who are interested in pursuing a career in the field of computer engineering and AI or related areas. The specific target group for this bachelor may include students aged from 19 to 65 years:
- High School Graduates with a strong interest in IT technologies, computer engineering and AI
- Individuals who aspire to become computer engineers, gaining expertise in computer systems and networks and in innovative and emerging technologies such AI, Data Science and Robotics
- Individuals interested in emerging technologies seeking a career change and have identified computer engineering as a field aligned with their interests and goals

To begin the application process, please submit the application form along with all required documents. Your application will be evaluated by the Admissions Office and the Bachelor's Committee, and you will be informed of the outcome by email.
As part of the admissions process, an interview with each applicant will be scheduled by the Admissions Officer.
15% and 20% scholarships are available for EU and international students, as well as for professionals in the IT sector. To apply for these scholarships, eligible candidates must submit their application for the BSc in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence program and indicate their interest in the scholarship during the application process. Additional documentation, such as proof of professional experience (for the Professional Experience Scholarship) or proof of citizenship (for the EU Scholarship), may be required.
