QUALITY ASSURANCE
EHEI implements an Internal Quality Assurance policy that aims to guarantee the quality of the programmes and of the online pedagogical model and the efficiency of the services provided. This policy is based on specific procedures that are related to all the activities conducted by the institution and involve the different offices and departments.
The policy aims to ensure that all programmes are designed, validated, monitored and periodically reviewed and that all the administrative and support services offered meet the expectations of the target audience and the main requirements of the job market. The Internal Quality assurance policy of the Institution is developed in compliance with the National Quality Assurance Framework for Further and Higher Education and the Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) Standards.
The educational Institution agrees to:
- Provide to the student the teaching, assessment and other educational services for which the student is enrolled and the educational institution shall take all the steps which are reasonably in its power to provide these educational services in accordance with the terms of this agreement;
- Guarantee the students' rights, including the right to obtain assessment results upon the student having completed all the necessary assessment requirements ofthe programme or parts thereof;
- Provide formal, clear, and fair procedures for handling student issues in relation to appeals from the result;
- Advise the intending overseas students oftheir duty to furnish the educational institution with any change in their contact details, which include their residential address and telephone number in Malta, as well as a contact address overseas, following the completion oftheir studies.
Through signature of the enrollment agreement, student bind themselves to:
- Disclose to the educational institution full and accurate academic and personal information as required for applications for admission, registration, and enrolment purposes.
- Inform the educational institution if there is any change to the academic or personal information that was provided at admission, registration, or enrolment stage as soon as is reasonably practicable.
- Fulfill all the academic requirements of the educational programme, including: participating in all required learning and assessment activities.
- Comply with the institution rules and policies.
- International or students resident in Malta are required to inform the institution about any change in their contact details, including residential address, phone number and email.
A full refund will be issued if the University is unable to offer the program in which the student is enrolled.
- If a student pays the full master's program tuition, they will be refunded for the tuition corresponding to two semesters if they withdraw by the end of the frst semester. If the student withdraws by the end of the second semester, they will be refunded for the tuition portion corresponding to the third semester.
- Tuition fee refunds upon withdrawal will only be considered if the University receives written notifcation from the student. The student must send an email to their tutor and admissions ofce, informing about their decision to withdraw. The date the email is received will be regarded as the effective withdrawal date for calculating fee liability and refund eligibility.
- If a student is granted a suspension of studies or a leave of absence for a maximum period of time of 4 months, fees paid for the suspension period will not be refunded but will be credited towards the student's resumption of studies.
- Refunds will be issued to the student or the person who made the payment, unless otherwise specifed in writing by that party to the Admissions Ofce.
- Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days of receiving the student's written withdrawal.
- The University will strive to issue refunds in the most cost-effective manner but will not be responsible for any bank charges associated with the transfer.
